Lauranne Avijor is a French-bred almond variety providing excellent fruit quality. Its fruit is light brown, elongated, with the characteristic boat shape. Its semi-hard shell is easy to clean, yet strong enough that birds do not damage it. Its taste is sweetish, with a slightly crunchy consistency. Occasionally, a double kernel (twin kernel) may occur in some fruits (usually in a ratio of 3–10 %), which is one of the variety's characteristics. It can be consumed raw, roasted, in pastries, and is also excellent for making almond milk.
